Lady Gaga Out Of 'American Horror Story' Season 6 Cast With Slender Man Theme Underway?
Rumors are circulating that the theme of "American Horror Story" season 6 will center around Slender Man.
For those not familiar with Slender Man, he is a fairly new pop culture horror character who was launched to popularity through internet memes. Slender Man is a child-stalking male in a suit who is noticeably tall and- as the name implies - slender.
"The creepy black-suited creature's origins go back only to 2009, as a creepy image created by Something Awful forum user Eric Knudsen," Vanity Fair reported.
"But the meme did what things on the internet often do: it took on a life of its own. As he exists today in books, video games, movies, and online, the Slender Man has become a melting point of some of pop culture's creepiest adversaries."
According to a source, AHS is purportedly adapting Slender Man to be its main theme for the upcoming season.
"Someone else wrote the script, and AHS wants to adapt it to fit the show," an insider told Us Weekly. "They have to buy the rights. Then they're going to figure out the cast from there."
If the Slender Man theme is in place for "American Horror Story" season 6, does it mean that Lady Gaga will not be part of the cast anymore?
If Slender Man will be the theme for the upcoming season, then it a male actor would have to portray the main character.
Sure, there is a possibility that Lady Gaga would be any female character in the story, but would the music artist-turned-actress agree to play a minor role in "American Horror Story" season 6 after winning a Golden Globe for AHS season 5?
It may not be clear right now, especially since showrunners are keeping their lips sealed about the theme and cast details of "American Horror Story" season 6. However, it could be noted that AHS executive producer Ryan Murphy seems to be fond of Lady Gaga and it would not be surprising if he would want her to stay for the upcoming season.
Lady Gaga is yet to issue an official statement on whether she will be coming back in the next season of AHS or not.
