iPad Air 3 Specs, Release Date And Other Rumors: Apple Improves Display And Camera Quality
A recent leak revealing possible iPad Air 3 specs and features has surfaced on the Japanese website Macotakara.
The website has published images believed to be of the case for the forthcoming iPad Air 3 and from these images, it seems like Apple is introducing several changes in the much-anticipated device.
Korea Portal cannot independently verify the authenticity of the report. However, if true, the new device will probably boast an LED flash-equipped camera, 4k display, a larger battery and 4GB of RAM.
Interestingly, the rumors about the iPad Air 3 camera being equipped with LED flash aren't new.
A few days back, MacRumors made similar claims citing leaked drawing of the device.
The new image hints that the back panel of the device could sport a teardrop-shaped hole for accommodating the LED bulb placed right underneath the camera.
China-based tech portal DigiTimes also mentioned that because of the larger and more resource-intensive 4k display, Apple is including a larger battery and 4GB.
That's indeed a significant improvement from the previous generation iPad Air.
Other recent rumors on the tablet's specs suggest that the device will come with a powerful A9X processor, the lauded Apple pencil, and the Smart Connector, a new interface that exploits the two-way conductive fabric in the Smart Keyboard to offer a superior user-experience.
One key spec the iPad Air 3 could miss out on is the 3D Touch, a new-generation multi-touch technology that responds to even the subtlest of touch.
Despite seeing a gradual decline in sales, the iPad continues to be a dominant force in the market even with all Android tablets put together.
Word on the streets is that the iPad Air 3 release date is set for the first quarter of 2016, leading to further speculations that the device could be announced alongside the iPhone 5SE in March.
There's also the chance that Apple will hold a special event only for the iPad Air 3 and iOS 10.
