Fans of the widely acclaimed TV series "Entourage" that was produced by Mark Wahlberg may have enjoyed the movie adaptation, which was released early last year.

However, there were some critics that had a different opinion of it and have rated the film poorly, which may affect the probability of a sequel from ever happening.

Despite the film's result of a 32 percent rating from renowned film critic Rotten Tomatoes, it seems that veteran actor Mark Wahlberg would still guarantee that a sequel can still be made.

In a recent interview, "Entourage's" writer and director Doug Ellin expressed how it was when the first transition to the big screen started.

"It's like high school," Ellin stated in a report by Vanity Fair. "Nothing changed. I took a year. I didn't know if there was really an appetite for it."

"But mark told me, 'If you write this script, I guarantee I'll get it made.'"

The source also pointed out that the band of actors behind the franchise seem to be open to making more "Entourage" sequels if the film finds an audience.

"I'd do 20 of 'em," Doug Ellin explained.

The writer-director even spoke in another interview about his aspiration to include actress Carla Gugino in an "Entourage" sequel, as reported by Zap2it.

"Not that she needs the role but it is one of the greats," he said. "To get her in this stuff is great and hopefully, we'll find something for her if we do the sequel."

He also hinted that if a sequel to the Mark Wahlberg-produced movie were to ever happen, the ending of the first film might have to invariably take a hit.

"That's how life is," the writer-director said in the interview as reported by Inquisitr. "Everything seems great. That's especially how Hollywood is."

"Everything seems great, then it goes to s***."
