Jeff Teague records second highest personal record in points amid NBA trade rumors

Recent NBA trade rumors suggest that Atlanta Hawks has put Jeff Teague on the market but it looks like the point guard is not affected by the news.

Atlanta Hawks went back to their winning ways after a victory against Dallas Mavericks, 112-97, through the leadership of the bull strong point guard. Teague dropped 32 points during the game amid loud rumors that his current team is looking to trade him.

"Just be aggressive, play with a lot of energy and play with a lot of speed," he said during post-game conference as reported by Associated Press. "When we do that, we feel like we're a pretty good team."

His teammate Al Horford also spoke highly of Teague's professionalism, energetic performance and qualities, which he said were crucial to the team's campaign.

"I felt like he was the difference tonight," Horford said. "His aggressive and his energy really put us at a different level when he's able to play like that."

Jeff Teague has been the biggest name in NBA trade rumors lately as Chris Mannix of ESPN revealed that the Hawks are likely to trade him.

Among the first to reportedly inquire about him is Utah Jazz.

"One place the Jazz might look: Atlanta, where it's starting to feel like the Jeff Teague-Dennis Schroder partnership is approaching its breaking point," ESPN's Zach Lowe wrote.

"Utah won't deal rotation guys for someone on an expiring deal, and Teague has two years left on his contract. A Burke and Burks package for Teague and filler might work for both teams."

He added, "Utah snares a clear upgrade in the right age range, and it sacrifices a backup and a No. 3 wing behind Hood and Hayward."

But Atlanta Hawks President of Basketball Operations and head coach Mike Budenholzer was quick to debunk the ongoing NBA trade rumors.

"I would say we continue to like our team and believe in the team," he said in an interview with MYAJC.

"I don't think we've been as consistent as we'd like. I think, collectively we haven't and probably individually we haven't. But I wouldn't say anything is in line or imminent or anything like that at all."
