Green Day Back In The Studio For 2016 New Album? Billie Joe’s Instagram Picture Sparks Rumors
After being inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, fans could not be eager enough when news and or rumors surface around about anything related to the band releasing a new album this 2016.
It was recently reported that Green Day's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong took a photo of himself in what seems to be a studio room with the caption "January 2016 OTIS Oakland" via his Instagram account on Monday evening (Jan. 18), claimed by Radio.com.
As such, the source noted that the released photo could only spark more rumors about Green Day releasing a new album this 2016.
However, a fan-based website call Green Day Authority has stated that the rumors about a new record being released this year could be affirmed by the said picture that Billie Joe Armstrong posted on Instagram.
It was also reported back in April 2015 that producer Rob Cavallo stated that Green Day had been back in the studio and have had recorded five new tracks, according to NME
"Let me tell you, they were just fantastic," Rob Cavallo said. "He is absolutely at the top of his game. Fans can be sure that when they do return, the music will be amazing."
Although there hasn't been any official release date coming from the band about a new Green Day album, Billie Joe has said that they intend to take the process really slow, Loudwire stated.
"I'm gonna take it really slow," he of the band's new album. "I'm just gonna make sure every moment is inspired and that we have something that's really special to us."
"And right now with the songs that we have, it's going in the right direction."
Though these rumors may not hold water as to whether the band will be releasing their latest album anytime soon, fans can be sure of one thing and that is that the band is indeed brewing up more music for them.
