'Star Wars' Episode VIII To Begin Filming Soon; Carrie Fisher Still Getting Criticisms For Her 'Force Awakens' Look?

The "Star Wars" frenzy is definitely not over yet. It has been two months since the release of "The Force Awakens" movie, but the sequel is already set to begin filming soon. Among the cast rumored to return in the new franchise are Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and Hayden Christensen.

Not long after it was announced that "Star Wars: Episode VIII" has been pushed back on later release, rumor has it that the production will begin filming anytime this month.

In late January, reports claimed that some of the "Star Wars" cast, including Daisy Ridley, Carrie Fisher, and Anthony Daniels have hinted that the filming will kick off soon.

While the leaked details about the filming have not been confirmed yet, several claims added that the show's writer-director Rian Johnson allegedly wants to go on board as soon as possible to focus on working in the rewrites.

Though it has not been disclosed as to when the filming will exact begin, fans are already on the lookout to the release of the synopsis and full cast list. Speaking of, previous reports claimed that the casting is on the works for new female and male characters.

Meanwhile, Carrie Fisher, who plays as Princess Leia in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, has been hitting the headlines recently after receiving a minor backlash in the social media for her loook in "The Force Awakens" movie.

The 59-year old actress has received plenty of criticims on the internet, particularly on Twitter. Reports claimed that her physical appearance turned out to be quite a big deal for the "Star Wars" fans, with majority of them agreeing that her look hasn't "aged well."

While the bashing issues have quited for a while, a new report claimed that Carrie Fisher, who's only 21 years old when she first played the role as Princess Leia, is still being critcized until now.

As previously reported, Carrie Fisher also took her response to Twitter, wherein she allegedly aksed her haters and her fans to stop arguing about her looks as it's only hurting her feelings more.

"Nothing changes, it's an appearance-driven thing," Carrie Fisher said back in Decemeber, according to Hollywood Reporter. "I'm in a business where the only thing that matters is weight and appearance. That is so messed up. They might as well say get younger, because that's how easy it is."

Amidst the downside, it was said that Carrie Fisher still felt happy and honored to reprise her role as Princess Leia in the box office movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" which has been held as among the highest grossing films of 2015.
