'Dragon Ball Super' Manga News, Preview: Chapter 9 Predictions; Who Will Take Buu's Place As Champa Fights Continue?

Not long after it was previously revealed via the My Manga website that Goku's team would be placed under Universe 7, marking the beginning of Champa Saga, there have been limited hints and predictions spurring on the internet about what might possibly happen to the characters and their respective teams when the tournament continues in the next chapter.

"Dragon Ball Super" chapter 8 revealed that the Saga would be taking universe 6 and 7 to the battleground. As mentioned in My Manga, Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Monaka, and Buu are in universe 7 while team Champa or universe 6 comes into view with Kabe, Heat, Frost, Botamo, and Magetta as the members.

However, Buu from universe 7 has been eliminated after getting below 50% and not being able to pass the written exam in the early stages of the tournament. To be exact, universe 7 or Team Beerus is currently lacking of one fighter.

Following the unfortunate turn of events for Goku's team, viewers and regular Manga readers immediately brought in several questions about the tournament and who in particular would take Buu's place, now that he's no longer in the competition.

As to who will replace Buu in the tournament, it still remains a hanging question for both the viewers and Manga readers. However, rumor has it that Gohan will be the one to take over Buu's place as he is the closest pick and most appropriate choice to join Champa Saga.

According to Movie Pilot, Gohan will go back to training and boost his power before stepping in the Champa Saga. Adding to this, it has been speculated that Piccolo will be in charge of Gohan's training that could transform him into either a Super Saiyan God or Super Saiyan 3.

The original publish date for "Dragon Ball Super" chapter 9 is scheduled on February 1, Monday, as posted by My Manga.
