The public is divided when it comes to the prospect of having a Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao fight rematch.

Some people are calling for a rematch since the undefeated American played it safe in the first fight. Not a few, however, don't think it's necessary since Floyd Jr., who is now retired, is a boring fighter.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is getting tired of the criticisms. He also has some choice words for people who want him to fight Manny Pacquiao again.

"I don't have the urge to fight anymore. I haven't had the urge to fight for a while," Mayweather said to Fight Hype.com.

"You know, people are like, 'Floyd, stay in the sport!' If I'm so boring, why do everyone want me to stay in the sport. If I'm so boring, why everybody taking shots at me from every different way? But I love it. I like when they take shots at me. I'm no longer competing, but like I said before, I made such an impact in the sports world and the entertainment world that my name will live on forever."

The odds of a Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao fight rematch is getting slimmer.

First, undefeated Floyd, who won their first showdown, is already retired. Second, Pacman is set to retire after his next fight against Timothy Bradley to complete their trilogy. The Filipino fighter has announced he step down from the ring after April to prioritize his political career.

Despite all that, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is not convinced that the Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao fight rematch is dead.

"I'd love to see a Mayweather-Pacquiao second fight, of course I would," Arum said as per report by Daily Mail.

"The first fight was by far the most lucrative in the history of boxing. But Mayweather has to un-retire, Manny has to decide whether or not he's elected to the senate and he'll do the rematch, so we'll have to see."

"You know, I'm done predicting what athletes are going to do."
