Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach And Rumored Boyfriend Reunited, Catches Up During Homecoming

Pia Wurtzbach and her rumored boyfriend were reunited during the 2015 Miss Universe's recent Manila homecoming.

According to a report from CNN Philippines, the 26-year-old beauty queen paid a courtesy call at the Malacañang Palace last Jan. 26 to meet with President Benigno Aquino III. The bachelor president was romantically linked to Pia Wurtzbach early last year, although both have insisted that they are just good friends.

After taking photos with media personnel, the two were able to catch up in a closed-door meeting along with Pia Wurtzbach's mother Cheryl Alonzo Tyndall, Binbining Pilipinas Charities Chairperson Stella Marquez-Araneta and Miss Universe President Paula Shugart.

Aquino reportedly asked about the former actress' experience as Miss Universe, while Pia Wurtzbach asked what has currently been keeping the Philippine President busy.

Manila Times recently reported about how the political scion expressed interest in getting married when his term ends this June 2016.

In a recent event, Benigno Aquino joked about he is always introduced as an "eligible bachelor."

"I intend to change that status come July 1," he said, referring to the end of his term as Philippine President. "Meaning, that will be the priority."

While he has long been rumored to have been Pia Wurtzbach's boyfriend, Benigno Aquino's statements could also be about other women who have been linked to him.

In an interview with 95.5 PLJ in New York that was reported by Manila Bulletin, the recently crowned Miss Universe clarified the real score between her and Benigno Aquino.

"That's so... no," she said. "No, that's so funny."

Pia Wurtzbach said having a boyfriend at the moment will also be very difficult because of her extremely busy schedule as Miss Universe.

"I think that would be very difficult with my, you know, I haven't even had like a full eight-hour sleep," she pointed out. "It's been very busy. What more [having] a guy?"
