‘Glee’ Star Mark Salling Not Stressing Over Trial For Child Porn Case? Will He Be Jailed?
"Glee" star Mark Salling's arrest for possessing child pornography back in December brought a lot of negative press for him.
Talks of his questionable actions in the past as well as a previous run-in with the law started coming to light but he didn't seem to be greatly affected by all of the speculations.
Just Jared spotted him going to the gym just a day before his scheduled arraignment for the case, appearing to be in good spirits.
He was set to appear in court on Jan. 22, according to Crime Watch Daily.
Despite all the attention thrown his way, he was still able to go about with his daily routine following the arrest.
According to sources, California will reportedly not pursue charges but the case will be handed over to federal court to decide if "Glee" star Mark Salling should face further investigations.
He could be jailed for up to five years if found guilty, Daily Mail reported.
Hudson Wells, his friend of 13 years, previously revealed to In Touch that he wasn't so sure of his pal's innocence in the whole debacle.
"I don't know whether he's guilty of what he's been charged with, but I think there's got to be some sort of substance to the allegations," he said. "I don't think the police would have gone to his house and taken him to jail if he was completely innocent."
Wells even called Salling an "opportunist" and claims he gets whichever girl he wants because of his fame.
The 33-year-old's roommate's brother, Frank Hernandez, on the other hand, believed that Salling was set up by a scorned ex-girlfriend.
Another source that supposedly worked with Mark Salling on "Glee" also claimed that he would act weirdly around children on set.
"Mark was always chasing after the youngest girls at parties," the said insider claimed. "And when there were younger kids on set, he lit up and was very friendly to them. That doesn't mean someone is a pedophile, but now, looking back, it makes me shudder."
