Darth Vader Set To Appear In ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ In A Darker Version

Sources close to the makers of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," directed by Gareth Edwards, revealed that Darth Vader will return to the big screen. Rumor has it that the infamous character will play a significant role in the new franchise.

"Star Wars : Rogue One" is as story of a united rebel sodliers on a daring mission to steal the Death Star plans. The franchise is described to be darker and more grounded than the previous installments.

JoBlo recently reported that Darth Vader's appearance on the upcoming new "Star Wars"movie is not a rumor anymore.

"We can confirm that Darth Vader will be in the film and is expected to have a larger role than originally thought. How big or how involved we can't say specifically, but expect to see the return of one of Star Wars' most infamous characters to the big screen," the report stated.

Though their is still no confirmation, James Earl Jones is expected to provide again the voice of the "Star Wars" famous villain. Jones did return for "Star Wars Rebels," so fans think the he will likely be back for the anthology film.

On the contrary, BirthMoviesDeath reported last year that there will be no action for Darth Vader as the character will just appear in a hologram.

The site revealed that Vader will be in "Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One."  He will not be the main antagonist, but he will be working behind the scenes. He'll be showing up via viewscreen or holo projection.

Confirmed cast of the anticipated Star Wars installment are Felicity Jones as lead hero, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Riz Ahmed and Forest Whitaker.

Many fans can't wait to see if the infamous Dark Vader will be seen killing in action or just commanding via hologram. "Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One" is set to be released on December 16.
