Fans could not be more excited everytime news surfaces around about the possible return of iconic WWE wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Moreover, there have been more rumors to keep fans on the edge of their seats as more speculations pop up regarding the return of other legendary wrestlers, such as Shawn Michaels, for the much-anticipated WrestleMania 32.

It was reported by Fox Sports late last year that Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to WWE to kick-off "Monday Night Raw" after the wrestler received a message from the organization that requested for his appearance.

The source noted, however, that the return of Steve Austin was a rather quick one.

"It was what it was," Stone Cold explained. "It was short, brief. I had four announcements to make."

"I got handed a piece of paper, 'Yeah, I'll be ready for Raw, yeah, I'll be ready for WrestleMania 32 in Dallas. I've got Brock Lesnar coming up in a couple of hours and I'm going to introduce The Undertaker right now.'"

Furthermore, he shared the real reason for his appearance during the said event.

"So, you know, when you ain't been on TV for four years and you'd really like to go out there and uncork a promo and just raise hell for my 6-10 minutes, it left a lot to be desired on my part, but it was doing a favor for WWE," he said of his return

As such, the source noted when Stone Cold Steve Austin was then asked by Paul Heyman if the legendary wrestler would consider returning for a dream match on WrestleMania 32 against Brock Lesnar.

To fans' disappointment, the WWE legend said that it's not going to happen, at least, for now.

"I think 99.9 percent I've had my last match," said Austin. "If I felt froggy and wanted to jump for any particular reason, just because I said right now I have the fever for it, I'd like to do it. But for all practical, intrinsic, whatever kind of purposes, I'm done.

As for the case of Shawn Michaels, it seems like his return won't be happening as well anytime soon, according to Wrestlezone.

"During the night, HBK revealed WWE offered him a major role at WrestleMania 32, but he turned it down," Nick Paglino reported on the website. "Michaels went on to say that he feels like he has nothing left to do in WWE."
