Cate Blanchett Confirmed To Play Big Baddie ‘Hela’ In 'Thor: Ragnarock?' Role Details Revealed!

News are rife that Australian actress Cate Blanchett has been reportedly confirmed to join the cast of Marvel's Cinematic Universe as the ultimate villain, Hela, in the upcoming movie "Thor: Ragnarok."

Hela is the ruler of Hel, the realm of Niflheim and is the biggest foe of Thor.

The news of Blanchett appearing in "Thor: Ragnarok" was first revealed by actor Mark Ruffalo, who plays the character of Hulk. The actor accidentally gave away the information that the "Carol" actress is set to play a baddie in the latest installment of "Thor."

Recently, it was reported that Cate Blanchett has signed up for "Thor: Ragnarok," but her role was not disclosed.

Now, it has been reported that she will be playing the character of Hela, the daughter of the God of Mischief, Loki, and the ruler of the dead souls of the Nine Realms, according to Channel 24.

Blanchett will play the role as the comic-book character who possesses super human strength. She will allegedly be seen clad in her famous cloak. "Thor: Ragnarok" will reportedly show Hela traveling to Asgard and wreaking havoc with her father Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston.

Thor will eventually find out that Loki and Hela have joined forces against Asgard. He will then try to confront Hela, but she will destroy his mighty hammer Mjolnir and banish him from Asgard, according to We Up It.

Per recent reports, Hela might try to unleash Ragnarok, which would result in the ruining of the Nine Realms.

Other than Cate Blanchett's interesting role in "Thor: Ragnarok," the movie will be also feature the friendship between Marvel's incredible character Hulk and Thor.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is reported to feature a structure similar to classic road buddy movie "Midnight Run" and the like that was shown in the 1980s, according to Geek.
