PlayStation 5 Release Date News: PS5 To Release In 2 Models? Upcoming Console Won't Use Disk Drive?

As "Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth" launches its english version next month, Kazumasa Habu, producer of the said PlayStation game, disagreed on the issue that Digimons are said to be the shadow of Pokemons as some even called them the "Pokemon of PlayStation".

"To be honest, there is an immense difference in the contents and appeal between Digimon in comparison to Pokémon. I personally think that the concepts between Digimon and Pokémon are very different," Habu clarified on his interview with Pushsquare.

"Pokémon is set in the fantasy world where the Pokémon's existence is normal. However, Digimon is based on a structure in which the various dramas are created by the encounters between the human beings of our reality and the Digimon from the unusual digital world," he added.

According to Redbull, Contrary to popular belief, Digimon did not set out to be Pokémon's direct competitor. In fact, Digimon started as a masculine counterpart to tamagotchi.

Although Digimon makers did not plan to compete with Pokemon, fans can't hide the similarities and comparison between the two, especially both of them involve training monsters in a battle.

The role-playing game, "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth," succeeds the game system from the "Digimon Story" series which is launched in Nintendo DS back in 2007. The said game will be launched on PlayStation 4 and Vita.

The creators of the game said that the new franchise is intended not just for those who've been patronizing the games series but they are also expecting for new players.

Though Digimon has been compared to "Pokemon inumerable times, fans of "Digimon Story" game series can't wait to play the new english version.
