No doubt, many are already familiar with most of the new features the latest version of Google's mobile OS platform Android 6.0 Marshmallow has brought along.

Maybe Android 6 is already on your tablet or phone, or maybe you're hoping that your device's manufacturer will soon send an OTA update your way.

In any case, it's time you prepare yourself for some cool tips and tricks that were not available in the earlier versions of the OS.

To begin with, remember the weird app permissions demanded by those suspicious apps?

For example, the guitar tuner app that requests access to your camera - although you never quite planned to use a guitar tuner app for clicking photos.

Earlier, you had no option but to accept all those permission requests en-masse in order to be able to install and use the app.

However, that all or nothing way of granting app permissions has changed now with the arrival of Android Marshmallow 6.

In the new version of the OS, you can decide how much access you want to grant to a particular app.

Now, most users know that nothing can be more annoying than having to listen to that whining low battery alarm that makes you search for a mobile charging outlet wherever you go.

Unfortunately, that's one problem most Android users generally need to cope with frequently. The Android Marshmallow 6 tries to fix this issue by adding more to the device's battery backup time.

Android 6 monitors the accelerometer of the device and identifies whenever your phone is idle for several minutes.

It then sends the device into a deep-sleep, basically switching itself into an Airplane mode like state.

However, unlike the Airplane Mode, these new time-saving features will still allow important information to sneak through to your device.

It's true that many manufacturers have already added fingerprint support feature to their flagship Android devices.

However with the arrival of that capacity in Android's native platform, it will now enable users to authorize Android payments using their fingerprints.

In addition to making it easier for users to select and manipulate text, Android 6 Marshmallow comes with a brand spanking new feature that allows developers to tap in the text selection tool and add their own customized options

Finally, there's no denying that Android's Quick Setting Panel feature has always been a pretty convenient way to quickly customize device settings, especially those you use more regularly.

However, the only problem with this feature was that users were not allowed to customize this panel.

Android Marshmallow 6 brings you that power to customize the Quick Settings Panel based on your individual taste and preferences.

To do that, first you need to open the Quick Settings panel by swiping down the device twice from the top of the screen.

Press and hold your fingers for several seconds and you will notice a wheel spinning.

Once you lift your fingers the device will notify about the Marshmallow's experimental UI's feature activation.
