Shawn Michaels Returning To WWE Royal Rumble 2016? Hall Of Famer 'Has Nothing Left To Do'

WWE fans are well aware of the industry's trend of having retired wrestling stars return for a comeback that would ignite the nostalgia lingering in the hearts of their fans.

As such, fans could not help but ponder on whether or not acclaimed WWE wrestler Shawn Michaels is planning to return to the beloved sport any time soon.

This is more than true to WWE superstars with the like of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who faced John Cena a few years back to contest the latter's claim to the WWE championship and Goldust, who returned to the ring to collaborate in a successful WWE Tag-Team championship with Cody Rhodes, Inquistr reported.

However, there are always exceptions to all general rules. This is such the case to two notable WWE Hall of Famers, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Shawn "The Hearbreak Kid" Michaels, who were both reported to have never wrestled again since their retirement.

Inquistr also noted that it was rumored before that Steve Austin was returning to the ring to face iconic WWE superstar Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 32, but the beer-guzzling wrestler shut down those rumors.

As for the case of Shawn Michaels, it seems like his return won't be happening as well anytime soon, according to Wrestlezone.

"During the night, HBK revealed WWE offered him a major role at WrestleMania 32, but he turned it down," Nick Paglino reported on the website. "Michaels went on to say that he feels like he has nothing left to do in WWE."

"He said that doesn't mean he doesn't have any 'gas left in the tank,' as he has loads left, but he said when you have a gun, you don't fire all the ammunition at once. He said he just feels like he has had enough."

Although Shawn Michaels has indeed dismissed the rumors of his return to WWE, fans can still enjoy the upcoming Wrestlemania 32 on April 3, 2016.
