Together with globally-known Korean mobile and technology giant Samsung, Oculus VR's release date has been finalized and along with information regarding pricing and features has been revealed to the public.

Oculus Gear VR is a gaming headgear with a promise to bring gamers one step closer to virtual reality. Its concept and features almost share a number of similarities to the fictional gaming device called Nerv Gear which was made popular by Japanese anime series Sword Art Online.

Prior to Oculus VR's release date, the gaming tech company released their first version of Gear VR, priced at $199 and only compatible to few mobile phone units. According to Tom's Hardware, compared to the new Oculus Gear VR, the latter has a reduced pricing of $99 and is slated to work its compatibility to the entire line of Samsung smart phones - including the Note 5, S6, S6 Edge and even the S6 Edge+ from its exclusive Galaxy series.

The upcoming game device is marketed to mobile game enthusiast for them to unlock their phones' hidden power. Gamers can play their favorite titles as if they are doing it within the game environment instead of viewing the screen through their phone monitors. They can also watch movies like they have their very own theater. The Gear VR is also 22% lighter compared to its previous predecessor and comes with Gear VR Gamepad. All Oculus Conference attendees were able to get it for free as reported by Tech Crunch.

In order to bring a whole new experience to its consumers, Oculus has signed deals with companies such as Lionsgate, 20th Century Fox, Twitch, Hulu, and Vimeo to add titles to their entertainment catalog. And with $99 price, Oculus Gear VR will surely appeal not just to the gaming community, but to majority of consumer market as well.

The new Oculus VR's release date is slated for Black Friday on November this year.
