Kate Gosselin Protecting Kids From Ex-Husband? Source Slams Jon’s Custody Claims!

Kate Gosselin wants her kids to be protected from the custody claims that her ex-husband has been talking about in interviews. According to a report from People, a source close to the "Kate Plus 8" star has slammed the allegations made by her former spouse, Jon Gosselin.

In an interview with Steve Harvey, the former TLC star said that he has no control over the odd arrangements that her former wife implements when he visits.

"Most of the time I get four," Jon Gosselin said. "I haven't seen all of my kids together in about three years."

"I only get what I get ... I pull to the gate, and whoever comes down the driveway, that's who I get. I'm not privy to any information, I don't know who I'm going to get," he detailed.

Jon and Kate Gosselin share eight kids: 14-year-old twins Cara and Mady and 11-year-old sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Leah, Joel, Aaden and Alexis.

The infamous reality TV father said that he has not seen one of his sons in 18 months. "I haven't seen my son in a year and a half," he said, without specifying which child.

"I don't know why," he added. "I can't talk to him. I have no communication."

Jon said that unhealthy relationship with Kate has taken its toll on their children. "The kids are stuck in the middle between us," he said.

However, an insider close to the mother-of-eight said that Kate Gosselin has not being negative about her ex-husband and his right to visit their kids.

"As always, Kate has no desire to comment on Jon's life or his choices," the insider said. "She will never comment on the father of her children."

The single mom previously told In Touch Weekly that she is open to dating again in order to give her children "a good male role model."

"I would love to date...I would love for the kids to have that male role model," she shared.

The reality star said her kids are the ones who encouraged her to be open about dating amid her busy schedule.

"They are encouraging me more and more," she said. "I just don't have a lot of time to be out there... searching for someone."

However, re-marrying is something that Jon Gosselin's ex-wife has dismissed.

"I don't know if I believe in marriage...I wish it would have worked for me," Kate Gosselin said, after which fans assumed that she probably wants her kids to still have Jon as their only father.
