UFC fans all around were tuned-in to the possible return of Georges St-Pierre in the sport, as more and more news crop up indicating the status of the acclaimed former longtime UFC welterweight champion.

It was recently reported that iconic fighting coach Freddy Roach was training the mixed martial arts fighter late last year and that the former had a positive three training sessions with Georges St-Pierre, MMA Fighting revealed.

"He's so positive, so good, and it was the best three-day training sessions we've ever had," Roach said.

"One day we did mitts 10 rounds straight with no rest period, we just worked right through it. He's not in top, top shape right now, but he made it through the 10 rounds, he was wondering when I'd give him a break, but he never asked. We just went 10 rounds straight."

As such, the positive outcome from that three-day training session would result in a six-week training camp that could give fans a better indication of Georges St-Pierre's return to the octagon in UFC.

"He wants to see if he's hungry for it still, and if he still wants to do it," Freddy Roach explained. "After six weeks, I know we'll have a great idea, it's either yes or no."

"I knew it was a great idea to do something like that. I haven't heard of it before, but it does make sense to me, the thing is, if he's not hungry for it again after six weeks training, you go away, if you are, you come back and get pulled out of vacation."

However, UFC President Dana White was reported to have had a cynical outlook to Georges' return to the sport, MMA Junkie stated.

"It'd be great if he comes back, yes, I love Georges St-Pierre - amazing athlete - but comeback talk? I laugh at it," UFC President Dana White explained. "To be a world champion, you have to be hungry... That's not GSP. Not even close."
