FC Porto announced Friday that South Korean international striker Suk Hyun Jun has joined the team for a four and a half year deal with a $32.6 million release fee. The club revealed that Suk will be playing for FC Porto until Jun. 30, 2020, Korea Times noted Friday.

No further details about the Suk's transfer were disclosed. However, reports said that his former team, Vitoria de Setubal, allegedly ordered over $1.6 million for Suk's transfer to FC Porto.

The 24-year-old football player signed with Vitoria de Setubal on Jan. 12, 2015 before he agreed to join FC Porto, where he scored a free-kick only four minutes in a contest against Braga on Jan. 2 this year.

"I want to score. FC Porto is one of the clubs that I have been dreaming of and I'm so proud to stand here today," he told Yonhap News. "I won't let down my fans and coaches and will do my best to help the club become champions.

Yonhap News reported Friday that Suk joined the Dutch League in season 2010-11 after his training at the prestigious Dutch club, Ajax. He moved to the Maritimo in season 2012-13 after playing for the GC Groningen.

The South Korean football player also signed with the Al-Ahli on Jul. 11, 2013. An injury, however, compelled him to return to Portugal. He later signed a four-year contract with Portuguese football club CD Nacional on Jun. 30, 2014. Suk did not finish his contract with the team and was then transferred to Vitoria de Setubal.

FC Porto is one of the "Big Three" teams in Portugal, along with Benfica and Sporting CP. The football club was founded on Sept.  28, 1893 by Antonio Nicolau de Almeida, an avid sportsman.

Meanwhile, coach Rui Barros said his team did not "deserve to lose" against FC Famalicão (0-1).

"We didn't deserve to lose, but that's football," he said. "We created goal situations and we played positive, attacking football, enough to get something else out of the match.

"Still, we couldn't do it. A set piece ended up going in for them, and that made us lose composure and calm. I hope the future is brighter."
