Amy Schumer Calls Out Teen Fan For 'Sexist' Joke; Jennifer Lawrence Beats 'Trainwreck' Star At Golden Globes 2016
Comedian superstar Amy Schumer has recently called out a 17-year-old critic after sending in a sexist tweet about her. The same scenario also happened to her celebrity pal Jennifer Lawrence, who once got into a big controversy after someone had intentionally leaked her private photos on the Internet.
Jackson Murphy, who operates the review site "Lights Camera Jackson," bumped into Schumer during the Sunday's Critics Choice awards and had a photo taken with her during the event that he later posted on Twitter and directly sent it to the 34-year old "Trainwreck" star.
"Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that." he captioned the photo.
Though the tweet was quickly removed, Schumer immediately responded with quite a disappointment. She wrote, "@LCJReviews @jondaly I get it. Cause I'm a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad."
Murphy intentionally sent the sexist joke directly to Schumer as he thought she would like it, adding that she might as well reply with the same approach. She wrote, "that's really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that."
Setting aside the downside, Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence had a friendly competition during the Golden Globe Awards night 2016.
Though they had separate red carpet appearances, Schumer and Lawrence sat next to each other inside the Beverly Hilton ballroom.
Lawrence won the best-actress-in-a-comedy award and exceeded Amy Schumer. The "Hunger Games" star received the award and went backstage; the press asked her if she felt bad for beating Schumer.
"She's going to be fine," Lawrence jokingly said of Schumer, as quoted in Vanity Fair. "It wasn't a matter of feeling bad because she's funny and hilarious and will win many things. I just really expected Amy to win. This was very truly surprising for me. I was just really surprised."
Amy Schumer won the same award last year at the Critics' Choice Movie Award for her"Trainwreck" film. Jennifer Lawrence on the other hand, was recognized as the highest-grossing action heroine in a 2015 edition of Guinness World Records for her role as Katniss Everdeen in her blockbuster movie series "Hunger Games."
