The latest speculations for the upcoming "Indiana Jones 5" movie suggest that Harrison Ford has expressed interest in returning to the planned sequel.

The 73-year-old veteran actor recently said that he would want to do another "Indiana Jones" movie. He also said that he would never let the opportunity of acting in the adventure movie easily go away.

"A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director - what's not to like?" Ford said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Further, Classicalite reported that according to the speculations the director of the "Indiana Jones" franchise, Steven Spielberg, does not want to cast any other lead actors over Harrison.

Spielberg also said that he cannot think of any other actor replacing Ford in the lead role for the upcoming fifth installment of the adventure movie.

"It's certainly not my intention to ever have another actor step into his shoes in the way there have been many actors that have played Batman or Spider-Man" Spielberg revealed as reported by Screen Daily.

Meanwhile, there were rumors that in the upcoming "Indiana Jones 5" movie, Disney is thinking of replacing Harrison Ford with "Jurassic World" actor, Chris Pratt. It is also speculated that Pratt is the first choice of the movie franchise in order to maintain the success rate of the film, Cinema Blend added.

Furthermore, Movie News Guide reported that some rumors have teased the names of other actors who have also been considered for the lead actor role in the movie including Henry Cavill, Chris Pine, Bradley Cooper and Lee Pace.

While there is still no official news on the release date or cast of the movie, Lucas Film president, Kathleen Kennedy, recently revealed that the "Indiana Jones 5" movie is under production.

Even, Disney's CEO, Bob Iger also recently confirmed that the script for the next installment of the movie is currently being written, The Independent revealed.

With the adventure movie is still in the initial phase, more update is expected to come out in the near future.
