'Man In The High Castle' Season 2 To Add Russia To Storyline; Release Date Delayed To 2017?

"The Man In The High Castle" Season 2's release date has been officially confirmed. The critically acclaimed Amazon series based on Philip K. Dick's novel of the same title, launched its pilot and second episode in January and October 2015, respectively, and the rest of the episodes in November.

It's no surprise that Amazon has decided to renew the show for another season. According to The Hollywood reporter, NBC's Alan Wurtzel shared that Season 1 garnered 2.1 million viewers from adults ages 18-49 during its premiere.

Of course, Fans are already anticipating the events in Season 2.

In an interview with Variety, "The Man In The High Castle" creator Frank Spotnitz revealed that Season 2 will introduce other countries such as Russia to show's storyline.

"In season one, by design, you don't know much about what's happening outside of North America," Spotnitz stated. "But other countries start to creep in, and you start to get a sense of the larger geopolitical landscape. And then you'll see a lot more of that in season two."

While it there have been reports that "The Man In The Castle" Season 2's will release date would take place sometime this year, Amazon Adviser speculates that it might be bumped up to 2017 due to the show's heavy CGI work.

For those unfamilar, "The Man In The High Castle" is set in an alternate world where the Nazis and Imperial Japan has rule over the United States, following the defeat of the Allied Powers in the second World War.

The cast includes Alexa Davalos as Juliana Crain, Rufus Sewell as John Smith, Ruper Evans as Frank Frink, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Nobosuke Tagomi, Luke Kleintank as Joe Blake, and Joel de la Fuente as Inspector Kido.
