Pia Wurtzbach's rumored boyfriend said he wants to get married this year. According to a report from Manila Times, Philippine president Benigno Aquino III revealed that marriage would be his "priority" when his term ends this June 2016.

The bachelor president joked about his love life after he was introduced at an event last Friday.

"When Mr. Tony Meloto was introducing me, I thought he was going to say 'eligible bachelor,'" president Benigno Aquino III said. "I intend to change that status come July 1."

"Meaning, that will be the priority," he added, drawing cheers from the audience.

Even though there has been no confirmation if he is indeed Pia Wurtzbach's boyfriend, president Benigno Aquino and the current Miss Universe have been linked to each other since last year.

Rumors have also been circulating that the two have come to a "mutual understanding" with regards to their relationship.

However, some speculate that the Philippine president's statement could also be about other women who have been linked to him. Just recently, Manila Bulletin reported that Wurtzbach herself denied their rumored relationship in an interview with the hosts of 95.5 PLJ in New York.

"That's so... no," she said about rumors linking her to president Benigno Aquino III. "No, that's so funny."

The 26-year-old beauty queen then narrated how she and the president know each other.

"I met him because I was a contributing writer for the Lifestyle section of a newspaper in the Philippines," she explained. "So I met him in a few social occasions some time."

Pia Wurtzbach said having a boyfriend at the moment will also be challenging, given her hectic schedule as the reigning Miss Universe. "I think that would be very difficult with my, you know, I haven't even had like a full eight-hour sleep," she pointed out. "It's been very busy. What more [having] a guy?"
