When the show returns, all the unfortunate events that led to 32 deaths involving Alex will weigh on her mind, Reportedly, she has been traumatized because she let Simon let go of the trigger. Also, she will be in a "bad place" in the upcoming "Quantico" season, Priyanka Chopra told Entertainment Weekly.

But on the lighter side, Alex will be at least crossed out from the suspected terrorist.

"Alex [Priyanka Chopra] has to wrestle with the fact - and so does Simon - that while they believe the bomb in the basement of the hotel had been diffused, she's the one who told Simon that he could take his hands off that trigger, and they're both going to be dealing with that emotionally," executive producer Joshua Safran explained the events to The Wrap.

As per TVLine, executive producer Joshua Safran added that "there will be a significant time jump in the future segment."

According to "Quantico" season 1B spoilers, the upcoming first episode will take place three months after the Time Square bombing and will start right from the show's winter premiere.

While the show is still on a long hiatus, fans are left wondering what happened after the bomb went off. One of which is Simon Asher's identity as viewers are still in doubt whether he's on the terrorist side.

In a recent interview, Tate Ellington who plays Simon Asher on "Quantico," addressed fans speculations and revealed that he is also mystified on his character's role., Christian Post reported.

"He started as a Jewish accountant, gay FBI recruit. No I'm not sure what exactly he is. Everybody tries to figure out what he is (and) what he's up to," Ellington said in an interview with WAPT News.
