Tom Clancy's "The Division" beta test release date has been confirmed. Ubisoft announced that it will arrive on Xbox One first on Jan. 28. Meanwhile PC and PlayStation 4 owners will access the beta test on Jan. 29.

In order to secure an invite, players should have pre-ordered the game earlier before the beta arrives. Since it's a closed beta, this is the only way players are guaranteed to access the beta test.

However, Ubisoft announced that players may still get a chance to test the "The Division" beta version by signing up on the waitlist.

According to the game developer's blogpost , the beta will begin on Manhattan's Chelsea Pier. From there, players will start "early story-driven missions" that have been established from New York. Players may "team up with other agents to battle for loot and outwit other agents in the PvP-enabled Dark Zone."

As for its gameplay, EU PlayStation Store already listed the game to feature optional in-game purchases, WCC Tech reported.

"Players will be able to play the game individually or with friends, customize their weapons during combat with an array of different attachments and scopes, and build and protect their safe houses," WCC Tech  added.

For players who are planning to pre-order the game, now is the best time to grab the game on Amazon. Currently, the online retailers offers 20% off on various upcoming Xbox One and PlayStation games, including "The Division."

Game Radar  noted that the discount is applicable to Amazon Prime members only, and to products shipped and sold by Amazon. Beta codes will be sent through the registered e-mail within 48 hours after the status of the purchased game has been confirmed.

"The Division" will be released in March 8 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Stay tuned for more updates.
