Sylvester Stallone Sets Release Date Of 'Expendables 4' In 2017 With WWE Legends Confirmed As Cast?

Despite the lackluster third installment of "Expendables," Sylverster Stallone has finally confirmed that he is moving forward with "Expendables 4" movie.

While the veteran action star has yet to officially announce the film, Variety confirmed that the action-packed sequel is going to start principal filming this year, while its release date is already set to arrive in 2017.

"'Expendables 4' will shoot in 2016 and be delivered in 2017," the publication confirmed. "Neither director nor cast have yet been announced, though the picture is expected to have maintained its all-action star formula. It is to be produced on a budget of over $100 million."

Now that "Expendables 4" is actively gearing up, fans are now clamoring to hear news about the film's casting lineup.

Without revealing his role, WWE legend Hulk Hogan has reportedly confirmed his involvement in the film, Wrestling Inc. via Uproxx revealed.

"Was talking on the phone with Sly [Stallone] about doing The Expendables 4," Hogan revealed.

"We're trying to figure out a way to maybe turn me into the most evil man in the world. Y'know, Stallone gave me my first break and he's been a great friend for all these years ... We had a great conversation, talking about the possibilities. Can I still run, can I still jump? Well, not as fast or not as high, but I think Hollywood could find a good stunt man to help me out."

According to Latin Post, Hogan is not going to be the only WWE star appearing the film. Sly is reportedly eyeing on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to join the cast following his statement during his Reddit AMA.

"I don't want to be on their team and be buddies with them," he told a fan who asked if he's interested in an "Expendables" film. "F**k that noise. I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them to 'send your soul to heaven cause your ass is mine.'"

With "Expendables 4" expected to include an all-star cast lineup during its release date, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reportedly being courted by Sylvester Stallone to join the film.

According to India Times Sly has posted a series of tweets asking Khan to join "Expendables 4."

"Salman, I am very impressed with your many devoted fans," the legendary action star said. "To make a great Action film Successful takes MANY great fans who support you, Sly"

He added, "Maybe the New EXPENDABLES."

With all the updates and rumors circulating, fans are just waiting for Sylvester Stallone to finally make an official announcement to "Expendables 4's" release date and casting lineup.
