Nick Carter Of Backstreet Boys Arrested In Key West For Misdemeanor Battery Charge! Details Revealed!
This news will come as a shock to Backstreet Boys fans, as member Nick Carter was arrested on Wednesday on a misdemeanor battery charge after his group started a bar brawl, according to Bustle.
In a police report obtained by TMZ, the staff at the Hog's Breath Saloon in Key West, Florida, said the that 35-year-old Carter, together with a friend, got infuriated and violent when they were refused service at the bar. In addition, allegedly the started attacking the staff.
The bar staff said that Nick and his friend got so intoxicated to the point of refusal of service and attempted to kick them out of the establishment. This triggered the two-man group to attack the staff, with Carter "grabbing a bouncer by the throat" and his friend, Michael Papayans, "headbutting" the bar manager.
There were attempts to get the side of the story from the alleged suspect, but he has no comment yet of the incident.
On the other hand, there was a police video obtained by TMZ that has Papayans saying to an office that "they tackled me like they were f*cking Navy SEALS or something," even though they understood that they are needed to leave the bar.
In a video uploaded on Billboard and posted by the City of Key West, Carter can be heard yelling that he is a singer. "My name is Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys. I'm a fucking singer," he said. "I wanted to sing! That's all I wanted to do. I wanted to go on the microphone and sing."
As known to fans, Nick Carter has been very open about his struggles with alcohol in the past, post Backstreet Boys. "I went out and just went nuts," he said during a previous interview with People. "I drank so much and I did a bunch of blow. I felt like I was trying to kill myself - because I didn't want to get the results."
