'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Iris West Is Like Lois Lane; Her New Romantic Partner Arriving

So much "The Flash" season 2 spoilers have been shared regarding the changes in Barry Allen's friends, such as Ronnie Raymond and Caitlin Snow for instance.

Meanwhile, childhood crush Iris West will also experience new things in the second half of the season.

Iris is set to get a new romantic partner for the rest of "The Flash" season 2 in the person of Scott Evans, her new boss at Central City Picture News. But it has been revealed that they have very different opinions about what the speedster means to the city.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said Iris will be Barry's Lois Lane.

"It's interesting, because [Scott] can't stand The Flash," Kreisberg told TV Line. "He thinks The Flash is a phony, and he has a great storyline about why he doesn't believe in heroes anymore."

"So, whereas Iris has become a little bit like Lois Lane [as] The Flash's biggest booster, her new editor is dedicated to taking some of the shine off."

It seems Iris will continue supporting the Scarlet Speedster, the guy who kissed her last season before the timeline was set back. Will she remember it? Will they ever be together just like in the comics?

"Barry has a much bigger thing that he's going to have to tell her coming up soon," the EP said. "Things are going to change for them in a way that I think [is] going to make fans happy."

Aside from a new love life and Barry Allen, Iris will also be kept busy by her brother Wally who appeared in the mid-season finale.

"Where we meet Wally and how we're introduced to him, he's just a regular guy," Keiynan Lonsdale told Entertainment Weekly last month when asked for "The Flash" season 2 spoilers.

"He's not Kid Flash just yet. I don't know when that's going to happen. He is also into drag racing, which makes the family dynamic kind of funny when your dad is a detective. It's pretty cool."

The actor added, "He's fairly protective of himself and what it is that he does. It's difficult having to be introduced into a new family; really, a family with really strong personalities. Iris is a really strong person and she's determined and has protected herself."

"The Flash" season 2 return date is on Jan. 19 for episode called "Potential Energy." Tune in for more spoilers to be revealed when they become available.
