'Resident Evil 6' Movie Cast Spoilers: Cast Members Revealed? Is This The Last Film From The Franchise?

The decade long wait for "Resident Evil 6" fans is finally coming to an end.

Latino Post reported cast has already started filming the sixth sequel in time for its tentative release, more or less two years from now. One of the publication's writers wrote that Resident Evil 6's cast has started filming in South Africa.

The sixth sequel of Resident Evil was initially referred to as "Resident Evil: Rising." "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is now the new title of the sequel. The said title hints to fans the sequel is possibly the last they'll see of Resident Evil on the silver screen.

Meanwhile, Slash Film reports Paul W.S. Anderson is set to direct "Resident Evil 6". The site reports fans should see the following actors and their characters on the big screen in Resident Evil's final chapter: Milla Jovovich (Alice), Iain Glen (Alexander Isaacs) Shawn Roberts (Albert Wesker), Ruby Rose (Abigail), Eoin Macken (Doc), William Levy (Christian) and Fraser James (Michael).  

"Resident Evil 6" actress, Ali Larter, reveals she does not feel bad that fans are about to see the last of the franchise.

"How many movies have this kind of fan base and get to be made six times?," Jovovich said, as quoted by the source above.

 "I think that's extraordinary," she added. "It's a total testament to Milla [Jovovich] and Paul. I'm so grateful to them, that they chose me to be a part of it halfway through, and they've kept me along for the ride."

"I love that it's not seven men and one woman," she further said. "I mean, these are two women, and they're not competing with each other. You know, there are such easy clichés these two could fall into, but this is definitely a female power movie."

 "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is slated for release on American cinemas, Jan. 27, 2017, Screen Rant reports.
