Actress Amber Heard is headlining reports now, after news got out that she is reportedly in the talks to join the superhero movie "Aquaman," alongside Jason Momoa.

According to Slash Film, Heard is set to join the adventure movie as Mera, who has some set of superhero powers of her own. The Hollywood Reporter also reported that the actress is set to deal and join the DC Extended Universe. If Heard will confirm to join, she will then be the female lead opposite Momoa in the standalone "Aquaman" movie.

The character Mera, who first appeared in the comics in 1963, is going to be a very pivotal character as she is Aquaman's romantic interest. Her character has the ability to control water and form "hard water" objects.

But before her transformation, which is yet to be confirmed by the actress herself, fans can get to watch her first in her debut in "Justice League: Part One" due out in 2017 (with part two to follow in 2019) according to Entertainment Weekly.

In other news, Amber Heard is now enjoying the success of the very interesting movie "The Danish Girl" where she co-stars with Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander. Heard had also appeared last year in "Magic Mike XXL" as well as in the festival circuit with the crime thriller "London Fields," which received poor reviews. Other movies that Johnny Depp's wife appeared on include "Zombieland," "Machete Kills" and "Drive Angry."

According to fans, it is not news that most, if not all, actors aim to break through the next level in their careers, and Amber Heard might do just that, now that she's rumored to star in "Aquaman."
