The patriarch of the reality TV show "Duck Dynasty" Phil Robertson, has released a statement that he is going to endorse Texas senator Ted Cruz for president, according to Daily Caller.

This is due to a video released by Cruz campaign where it showed Robertson saying his thoughts about his presidential bet. "My qualifications for President of the United States are rather narrow: Is he or she Godly, does he or she love us, can he or she do the job, and finally would they kill a duck and put him in a pot and make him a good duck gumbo?," he said.

"I've looked at the candidates," the patriarch continued. "Ted Cruz is my man. He fits the bill. He's Godly, he loves us, he's the man for the job, and he will go duck hunting."

In 2013, TV show "Duck Dynasty" star, Robertson, became the subject of tabloids after his network A&E suspended him from his own show after he stated his belief on why homosexuality is a sin.

In other news, for those who are awaiting for the next season of the reality series, it is back to A&E for its ninth season. Starting Jan. 13, the ninth season will be called "Inlawful Entry" and the whole season "isn't all fun and games," according to Christian Today. The season will tackle more on the visit of Missy's parents. Apart from that, patriarch Willie is teaching his son John Luke how to become more business oriented. The two will partner up to create a snow cone business but will have to undergo several obstacles before they will get to reap what they sow.

Moreso, there is going to be an episode where Jase will have a hard time raising his daughter Mia, as the plane that is supposed to bring his wife home would been delayed. "This duck dad may not know much about cheer leading & make up, but he'll always be there for Mia no matter what," the family of the "Duck Dynasty" TV show fame wrote on their Facebook page.
