Filmmaker Michael Bay has revealed that "Transformers 5" will be his last movie of the franchise, and this time, the news is for real.

During his chat with Collider about "Transformers 5," Michael Bay praised the talented writers and their clever ideas, as well as the way they planned to go back in time in order to connect the events in history.

In the same interview, the director said he is all set to leave the franchise. But it was pointed out that he already made the same declaration before.

Michael Bay re-established his claim saying, "Yeah, I know, right? But it's like, that's all they want to do is franchises. That's all they want to do. I had to beg to get to make [13 Hours]," reported Tformers.

Bay has been reluctant to return as director of the "Transformers" franchise as he preferred taking up small art-house type films. He initially left the series after "Transformers: Dark of the Moon."

Later he changed his mind and returned for "Transformers: Age of Extinction." Then, he once again declared that he is done directing the franchise. But despite his announcement, Michael Bay is back in "Transformers 5." This time, he insisted, will be his last movie for sure, noted Screenrant.

Recent "Transformers 5" news give hint of the possibility of Hollywood actress Megan Fox returning as the female lead for the movie.

Megan Fox played the female lead role in the first two movies but she infamously had a falling out with director Michael Bay, which caused her exclusion in the third installment.

But now, after working together in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," the animosity between them seemed to be all gone. Accordingly, a reunion via the "Transformers 5" is in the cards

While there is no confirmation on the matter yet, the actress' fans wish Michael Bay would cast her again for the fifth installment, according to Movie News Guide.
