MMA fans, mark March 5 off your calendars as this date will be the date when Conor McGregor will battle it out against Rafael dos Anjos for the said match is confirmed for UFC 197. The said battle will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

McGregor promised to 'behead' dos Anjos as the Irish fighter is trying to reach the goal of being the third fighter in UFC history to gain two belts and the first one to hold them concurrently, according to The Daily Mail. In order to do that, McGregor will have to face the current lightweight champion in Las Vegas just four months after putting down featherweight champ Jose Aldo in less than 15 seconds (13 to be exact), putting an end to Aldo's reign that lasted for a decade.

In one of his Facebook posts, he said: "[Mr McGregor] has chosen to dedicate this demolition job to the loyal people of Brazil and all the fans around the globe who stay true to their roots and loyal to their land."

"Mr [Conor] McGregor has said that Rafael is a traitor to his people and vows to behead the 'American Gringo' Rafael Dos Anjos, in the name of La Brasilia," he added.

Dos Anjos got his belt by knocking Anthony Pettis down last March and has won his last five matches. Will the winning streak continue for him?

Don't leave the co-main match out, by the way, for it will be Holly Holm against Miesha Tate, according to MMA Fighting. This will be the first time that Holm will defend her title after she defeated crowd-darling Ronda Rousey on what seemed to be a very unexpected fight result.

So who will win between Conor McGregor and Rafael Dos Anjos on the UFC 197? We'll see on Mar. 5.
