Is there a truth about the rumors claiming that "The Good Wife" will be cancelled after season 7?

Probably not as CBS TV network reportedly believes that the drama TV series can still continue despite the planned exit of its top executive producers, Robert and Michelle King.

According to the Deadline, Robert and Michelle King played a major role in the conception of "The Good Wife." They are the show's creators, executive producers and show runners.

The news about the possibility of "The Good Wife" getting cancelled after season 7 circulated online when the departure of the duo came to light. It was reported that the couple's exit is part of their long-term plan to do only seven seasons of the show.

"The Kings did say they would not be returning after this year, but we have a deep bench on the show," said CBS Entertainment President Glenn Geller. "Some of the writers have been here from the beginning. It's just January so we haven't made a determination if there will be another season or not."

Geller added that the show "can certainly continue."

A lot of "The Good Wife" new and spoilers went online, but Geller said that the TV network is not yet sure on what the next season be like.

"We haven't discussed what the series would look like, what next season would be," Geller averred.

The TV Guide cited that aside from "The Good Wife" possibly being cancelled after season 7, other CBS shows are also about to end.

The upcoming season of the "Mike & Molly" will be its final season. The continuation of the series for the "Person of Interest" has also the wait-and-see situation.

Per TV.com, "The Good Wife" is an American drama that focuses on the life of a politician's wife who pursues her career as a defense lawyer after her husband is imprisoned due to corruption.
