Zayn Malik News: Singer Not In Good Terms With Former 'One Direction' Bandmates

Former One Direction member Zayn Malik, who exited from the band earlier last year to pursue his solo career, is reportedly not on good terms with his former bandmates Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles.

At the time he left his band, the 23-year-old singer said that his reasons for leaving the group was because he wanted to live a normal life and get some time off from the limelight.

"I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight," Malik said in March, TIME reported. "I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."

While Malik did not mention anything regarding his relationship with Horan, Payne, Styles, and Tomlinson, his recent comments seem to mean that their frienship is currently on the rocks.

Besides admitting that he didn't buy their newly released album "Made in the A.M," he also revealed that he has reached out to some of the members but didn't got any reply.

"I had every intention of remaining friends with everybody, but I guess certain phone numbers have changed and I haven't received calls from a lot of people." said Malik, as quoted in BBC.

He went on saying, "I've reached out to a few of them and not got a reply. Certain people have pride issues, but it's stuff you overcome in time."

Since Zayn Malik's departure, the now four-man band has debuted its fifth studio album, completed its "On the Road Again" world tour, and is currently on a hiatus. One Direction's album "Made in the A.M" was awarded as the second fastest-selling album in 2015 next to Adele's "25."
