Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion For Sale; Market Price Announced For $200 Million!

If you have $200 million dollars in your pocket and you're living in Los Angeles, you can already buy Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion.

The iconic estate located in Holmby Hills where the mogul has been residing and working for more than four decades is now listed on the market for the nine-figure amount. The said mansion now lands on the list of the most expensive residential properties for sale in the United States.

However, as part of any sale, Hugh Hefner will be allowed to be living in the residence for the remainder of his life, according to the Los Angeles Times. The Playboy mansion that is now for sale is one of the prominent works of architect Arthur R. Kelly decades before the 89-year-old acquired it. The mansion that is clad with stone, has a Gothic-Tudor style that was originally built for department store scion Arthur Letts Jr. in 1927. Hefner bought the five-acre estate in 1971 for around $1.1 million.

"At the time Hef and Playboy purchased the home, it was the largest real estate transaction in Los Angeles history," Gary Gold of Hilton & Hyland said. Gold is an affiliate of Christie's International Real State. He manages the said listing together with Drew Fenton, who also works for Hilton and Hyland and Mauricio Umansky of The Agency.

The property comes with a gymnasium, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a four-bedroom guesthouse. garden, aviaries (comes with own zoo license) and the Grotta, a man-made cave with a whirlpool spa.

The company CEO released a statement about the property. "The Playboy Mansion has been a creative center for Hugh Hefner as his residence and workplace for the past 40 years, as it will continue to be if the property is sold," said Scott Flanders in a statement noted by MTV.com.
