Sorry gamers but it looks like the latest "Clash of Clans" update is here to stay - until further notice.

This was announced by the game's developer, Supercell, which said in a recent post that it had no plans to modify the update it rolled out last December, which created a furor among COC fans, iDigitalTimes reported.

"This change is here to stay," staff member Anoushka wrote in Supercell's Announcements sub-forum.

"However, improving your ability to save resources should alleviate some of the challenges faced when adapting to the new 'Town Hall inside' system," she explained.

Aside from the Town Hall 11 system which will be retained, other "Clash of Clans" update tweaks that will be kept include the Personal Break Timer, together with the Village Guard and Shields, which all got revisions last month.

"[Village Guard/Personal Breaks/Shields] look solid and feel like they're working well," Anoushka noted in her post. "We don't have any plans right now to make changes here, we will focus all our attention on resource saving for the time being."

According to Neurogadget, a lot of players have complained that they have been having difficulty farming since the release of the last "Clash of Clans" update.

The gaming site noted that gamers can no longer "sacrifice" their Town Halls to obtain a free shield, and therefore giving high-level players more time to gain resources to upgrade their structures.

It is still unclear how this issue will be resolved by Supercell, but there are indications that the fix will not entail players leaving their Town Halls undefended.

"...Clash of Clans was never intended to be played in a way that promotes your main village building to be an easy target in order to "defend" the resources," the Neurgadget article pointed out.

However, in a move which is seen to cushion the impact of the update, Supercell has announced that it will be extending for an indefinite period of time the "one-gem" boost which it gave out last December.

This means that players will be able to get more loot from their dark elixir drills, elixir pumps and gold mines by just by using one extra gem.

The latest "Clash of Clans" update may just turn out to be a boon to gamers after all.
