Three BLACKPINK members revealed new solo projects within about 24 hours of each other this week, with Lisa's arriving last: a lead single titled "SaWaDiKa," out September 3, ahead of a six-track EP called "PRESS PLAY" on October 23.

Lisa posted the announcement to Instagram on August 24, writing "EP PRESS PLAY. Out Oct 23. First single SaWaDiKa. Out Sept 3." The single takes its title from "sawatdee ka," a Thai greeting, and follows a teaser campaign of red "HELLO SAWADIKA" billboards that appeared across Thailand before the reveal. A preview clip Lisa posted August 25 showed a harder-edged visual style than her 2025 debut album, "Alter Ego." "PRESS PLAY" is being billed by her label as a project centered on her Thai roots.

Jisoo moved first. Hours before Lisa's post, she teased a September 4 single called "CLICK" with a video of glitching, animatronic carnival figures - a sharper turn than the debut solo EP "AMORTAGE," which she released in February. Jennie had already set the pace a day earlier, confirming a three-track EP, "Fallen Angel," for August 28 through her own label, Odd Atelier, which described the release as "a gift from JENNIE, with love." The EP's title track, "FALLEN ANGEL," arrives with a music video the same day, alongside "HEAVEN" and "Less Than a Lover."

The rollout lands three weeks after BLACKPINK marked the 10th anniversary of its August 8, 2016 debut, and after a summer in which Jennie became the first K-pop solo artist to headline multiple major festivals with a full live band, playing seven stops across North America, Europe and Asia between June and August. Jisoo, meanwhile, took "AMORTAGE" on a 10-city Asia tour earlier this year.

For a group whose four members now work under four separate agencies - YG Entertainment for Rosé, and individual companies for Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo - the clustering of three releases inside an eight-day window is unusual. It also puts three former groupmates in direct competition with each other on the same charts at the same time, something that happened only sporadically during BLACKPINK's earlier hiatus periods.

Rosé has not announced a comeback of her own. Her last solo material, "rosie," was released in December 2024.

Lisa's "SaWaDiKa" arrives September 3 in the U.S., landing at 9 a.m. KST on September 4 in Korea. Jisoo's "CLICK" follows one day later.
