BTS Jungkook's "Dreamers" Hits 500M Spotify Streams: Fifth Solo Track to Reach Milestone
BTS member Jungkook's 2022 FIFA World Cup anthem "Dreamers" has surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify, marking his fifth solo track to achieve this feat.
Big Hit Music confirmed the milestone on Tuesday, based on Spotify chart data from October 19. The achievement places "Dreamers" alongside Jungkook's other streaming powerhouses: "Seven" (featuring Latto), "Standing Next to You," "Left and Right" (with Charlie Puth), and "3D" (featuring Jack Harlow).
Record-Breaking Solo Success
Jungkook has now accumulated over 9.7 billion total streams across his solo discography on Spotify-the highest for any K-pop solo artist. His hit single "Seven" alone has exceeded 2.5 billion streams, making him the first Korean artist to reach this benchmark with a single track.
Historic World Cup Performance
Released in November 2022, "Dreamers" made Jungkook the first South Korean artist to perform an official World Cup song at the tournament's opening ceremony. The track, featuring Qatari vocalist Fahad Al Kubaisi, immediately dominated global charts upon release.
Within 13 hours of its debut, "Dreamers" topped iTunes charts in 102 countries and regions, including major markets like the US, UK, Japan, and France. The song also peaked at No. 2 on Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart.
YouTube Dominance Continues
The live performance video on FIFA's official YouTube channel has garnered over 420 million views as of October 2, becoming the most-viewed video in the channel's history. The official music video has also surpassed 400 million views, making it Jungkook's third solo MV to cross this threshold.
Streaming Powerhouse
With five songs exceeding 500 million streams and multiple tracks surpassing 1 billion plays, Jungkook has established himself as a global streaming force. He remains the first and only Asian solo artist to achieve four songs with over 1 billion streams each.
Despite currently serving mandatory military service in South Korea until June 2025, Jungkook's music continues breaking records worldwide, cementing his status as one of the most successful solo artists in contemporary pop music.
