K-pop superstar G-Dragon set a new Formula 1 entertainment record when 65,000 fans packed the Padang Stage at Singapore's Marina Bay Street Circuit on October 3, 2025-the largest concert crowd in F1 history.

Eight-Year Wait Ends at Marina Bay

The BIGBANG leader's first Singapore performance in eight years drew unprecedented numbers to the 2025 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix. Fans began queuing days in advance, with some camping outside the circuit from October 1, enduring rain and heat for prime viewing spots.

When G-Dragon appeared at 10:32 PM, the crowd erupted with chants of "Kwon Jiyong"-his birth name-creating an atmosphere that organizers described as unlike any previous F1 concert.

90-Minute Performance Spans Career

G-Dragon delivered a 90-minute solo set mixing new material from his third studio album Übermensch with career hits. The setlist included recent singles "POWER," "HOME SWEET HOME," and "TOO BAD" featuring Anderson .Paak, alongside fan favorites "MICHIGO," "One of a Kind," and "Crayon."

The performance marked his return to Singapore since the 2017 Act III: M.O.T.T.E World Tour at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Three Costume Changes Reflect F1 Theme

True to his fashion icon status, G-Dragon wore three distinct outfits during the show. He opened in a racing-inspired look featuring an 'Übermensch' logo jacket with racing patches, leather pants, and boots-nodding to the F1 setting.

His second outfit featured an illuminated OLED suit, while the finale brought a red ensemble with straw hat incorporating F1's signature checkered flag motif.

Exhibition Runs Alongside Grand Prix

Concurrent with his F1 appearance, the G-Dragon Media Exhibition: Übermensch opened October 1 at Jewel Changi Airport's Changi Experience Studio, running through October 13. The 3,000-square-meter exhibition features VR experiences, interactive zones, and exclusive merchandise.

Organized by Galaxy Corporation and Creative MUT, the ticketed exhibition draws from previous successful runs in Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Osaka.

World Tour Continues Through Year-End

The Singapore F1 performance is one stop on G-Dragon's ongoing 2025 World Tour [Übermensch]-his first tour in eight years. After launching in South Korea in March with two sold-out shows at Goyang Stadium, the tour has hit major cities across Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe.

The album Übermensch, released in February 2025, is his first full-length solo project in 11 years.

Upcoming tour dates include Osaka (October 20-21), Taipei and Hanoi in November, and Seoul performances in December.

F1 Singapore Sets Attendance Records

The 2025 Singapore Grand Prix recorded 300,641 total attendees across the three-day weekend-the second-highest in the event's 16-year history. The entertainment lineup featured headline acts including Foo Fighters, Elton John, The Smashing Pumpkins, and CL.

G-Dragon's 65,000-person crowd at the Padang Stage on Friday night established a new benchmark for F1 concert attendance, demonstrating the growing intersection of motorsport and global music entertainment.
