Nine to Six Premiere Date Nov. 25: Cast, Plot, Streaming
SBS's office romance "Nine to Six" will premiere on Wednesday, November 25, at 9 p.m. KST, according to Soompi, which cited Naver. The date lands five weeks out and fits the Wednesday-Thursday slot SBS assigned the drama in April.
The series follows Kang Yi-ji, a workaholic deputy manager on the legal team at the fictional Chronic Motors, who has put romance on hold for her career. Park Min-young plays her. Yook Sungjae plays Han Seon-woo, a warm-hearted younger colleague who teaches her how to love. Go Soo plays Park Hyun-tae, a division head who judges employees by performance alone.
The casting carries two storylines of its own. Park is best known for the 2018 office romance "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim," and Yook is a member of the boy group BTOB, so the workplace setting is familiar ground for her. Go Soo, 48, is back in a romance for the first time in about 15 years, according to SBS, and the series is his return to terrestrial TV after two years away. Park, 40, is paired with Yook, 31, nine years her junior, a gap TenAsia noted when his casting was announced. Yook won Best Actor at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards for "The Haunted Palace," per TenAsia.
Kim Mi-kyung plays Kang's mother, the sixth time she and Park have played mother and daughter, TenAsia reported. Their earlier pairings include "Healer" and "Forecasting Love and Weather." Joo Hyun-young plays Kang's friend, a full-time housewife of seven years. Choi Ji-soo, Jung Hae-kyun, Jo Bok-rae, Cha Chung-hwa, Chun Woo-jin, Nam Yoon-ho and Bae Yoo-ram fill out the cast, and Soompi highlights a trio of "office villain" bosses played by Jung, Jo and Cha.
Choi Ji-o wrote the script. Lee Hyung-min, who directed "Miss Night and Day," directs. The drama is based on the 2021 Chinese series "The Rational Life," which Soompi and What's on Netflix both name as the source.
For viewers outside Korea, the streaming picture is incomplete. What's on Netflix lists "Nine to Six" as a Netflix release in the second half of 2026, but neither SBS nor Netflix has confirmed a global date or regions.
Soompi's report on the date did not list an episode count, a runtime or a streaming partner, and none has been reported elsewhere in the coverage reviewed. SBS has fixed the Korean date and the time. It has not said when the rest of the world gets episode one.
