The Devil's Plan: Dead Again Netflix Release Date (Nov. 10)
Netflix will release The Devil's Plan: Dead Again on Nov. 10. The third season of the brain-survival show comes with 16 players, including Jang Dong Min, who has won five survival competitions in a row, and two former winners of the series.
Netflix posted a teaser and poster on Oct. 13, five days after it named the cast and said only that the season would premiere in the fourth quarter. The title carries the new premise. Season 2 was Death Room, named for the space where its prison death matches were played. Dead Again brings back players who have already been eliminated once, and who now get a second run at the game.
The show remains a variety competition built to produce a single winner out of a large field and unpredictable variables, according to the Netflix description reported by Soompi.
The lineup mixes the genre's best-known names with newer ones. Jang's five wins came on The Genius: Black Garnet, The Genius: Grand Final, Society Game 2, Bloody Game 3 and Betting on Fact. Ha Seok Jin, who won season 1, and Jung Hyun Gyu, who won season 2, return alongside poker player Kim Dong Jae. Hong Jin Ho is a former pro gamer who now plays poker at the top level. Oh Hyun Min, a KAIST graduate nicknamed a "human calculator," also joins.
The rest of the field: rapper Xitsuh, who entered university at 16, and Yurisa, who has an IQ of 156 and sits in Mensa's top 1 percent. Shindong, Hyun Kyung Ryul, John Park, Jaejae, rapper Nucksal, Yi Do, singer-songwriter Stella Jang and board-game specialist Jung Won Young complete the 16.
In the teaser, Jang tells the room, "You're going to die by my hand anyway." Shindong remarks that everything about the game looks changed. Producer Jung Jong Yeon described the lineup at the Oct. 8 reveal as the strongest in the franchise's history.
The first season is the benchmark. It premiered on Sept. 26, 2023, and Netflix said at the time that it topped the streamer's Korean chart and reached the Top 10 in 23 other countries, ranking third among non-English series globally. Netflix renewed it that November.
The Oct. 13 announcement, as reported, did not give an episode count or say whether episodes will arrive all at once or weekly. Those details are still to come before Nov. 10.
