aespa Winter Shingles Return: Intuit Dome LA Concert Oct. 3

Winter was back on stage with aespa at Los Angeles' Intuit Dome on Oct. 3, four days after shingles kept her out of the group's Dallas show.

The Inglewood, California, concert was the first with all four members since Miami on Sept. 26, according to the Korea Daily. In Dallas on Sept. 29, Karina, Giselle and Ningning performed as a trio, and the group's post-show photo carried a digitally added Winter.

SM Entertainment laid out the timeline on Sept. 30. Winter felt unwell before the Miami show but performed anyway. When her condition did not improve afterward, she went to a hospital and was diagnosed with shingles. Doctors advised rest, and the agency and Winter decided she would miss Dallas, along with that night's Hi-Bye and Send-Off fan events. SM said it would make sure she got enough rest to recover fully before meeting fans again.

Shingles occurs when the varicella-zoster virus, which stays dormant after chickenpox, reactivates as immunity drops. It typically causes a painful rash and blisters. It is more common in older adults, though younger people can get it.

In Los Angeles, Winter had visible blisters earlier in the week, the Korea Daily reported. She performed with a bright expression and joined the post-concert group photo. That made the Intuit Dome the first night in seven days, counting from the Sept. 26 Miami show, that all four members performed together, with Oakland three days away on Oct. 6.

The show sold out down to the restricted-view seats, according to a Topstar News report that allkpop cited on Oct. 5. It was aespa's third solo concert in Los Angeles, after Crypto.com Arena in 2023 and the Kia Forum in 2025. The setlist paired new songs "LEMONADE" and "WDA (Whole Different Animal)" with "Next Level" and "Whiplash," plus unit and solo stages. "We were so happy to be able to come back to LA like this," the group said.

The tour, SYNK : COMPLÆXITY, supports the group's second full-length album, Lemonade, which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 after its May release. It opened with two nights at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome on Aug. 7 and 8, then moved through Taipei, São Paulo, Santiago, Lima and Mexico City before reaching North America.

Oakland is next on Oct. 6, followed by Seattle on Oct. 9 and Vancouver on Oct. 11. The UK and European leg begins Jan. 14 in Manchester.
