BIGBANG Outranks ENHYPEN on the Chart. ENHYPEN Just Beat Them on TV.

 

 

BIGBANG's "BiiiG" sits one spot above ENHYPEN's "Bloody Paradise" on this week's Soompi K-Pop Chart, posted August 30 - BiiiG at No. 7, Bloody Paradise at No. 8. Three days earlier, on M Countdown, ENHYPEN beat BIGBANG for the win.

BiiiG, released August 19, is a special single BIGBANG put out to mark 20 years since their August 2006 debut. Soompi describes it as a high-energy hip-hop track built around a grandiose beat, and this week's move - a 35-spot jump to No. 7 - puts a group two decades into its career back inside the top 10, next to acts that debuted more than ten years after them.

Bloody Paradise, released August 21, is the title track from ENHYPEN's eighth mini album, "THE SIN : BLISS." Soompi describes the Brazilian funk-inflected song as the story of a couple caught in a "pressing situation." The album has topped global iTunes charts and sold 1.7 million copies since release. On August 28's M Countdown, BiiiG and Bloody Paradise were the two songs left competing for the win; ENHYPEN took it, 8,172 points to BIGBANG's tally.

Neither song holds the top spot on this week's Soompi chart. KiiiKiii's "Pop Off Pop Off" held No. 1 for a second straight week, with CORTIS' "REDRED" at No. 2 and aespa's "LEMONADE" at No. 3. Two songs newly entered the top 10 this week - BiiiG and Bloody Paradise are both among them.

BiiiG is one of BIGBANG's only new releases since 2022's "Still Life," and its climb this week comes with no album, comeback promotion or tour publicly attached to the single - it's an anniversary release, not the start of a cycle. ENHYPEN, by contrast, is mid-promotion for a full mini album, with music show appearances and additional chart data still to come through September.

The two songs are competing under different agencies with very different release strategies behind them. BIGBANG's YG Entertainment built BiiiG entirely around the 20-year marker, with no wider promotional run attached to it. ENHYPEN's Belift Lab is running "THE SIN : BLISS" the way a full comeback typically works - music show stages, a multi-week promotion window, and a tracklist built for more than one single to draw attention. That difference shows up in the numbers: BiiiG's chart position reflects a single song's pull, while Bloody Paradise's position and its M Countdown win both come from a release still in the middle of its cycle.
