NCT 127 Members Doyoung and Jungwoo Enlist December 8, 2025: Military Service Details
Two NCT 127 members will begin their mandatory military duties next month. SM Entertainment confirmed that Doyoung and Jungwoo will both enlist on December 8, 2025.
Doyoung enters the Republic of Korea Army as an active-duty soldier. Jungwoo has been accepted into the Army Band and will enlist the same day.
Agency Statement
SM Entertainment released an official statement on October 30, 2025, announcing the enlistments. The agency requested fans avoid visiting enlistment sites for safety reasons, as many soldiers and families will be present. No public events are planned for enlistment day.
The company asked fans to support both members as they complete their service and return in good health.
NCT's Military Timeline
Taeyong became the first NCT member to enlist, joining the Navy on April 15, 2024. He is scheduled for discharge on December 14, 2025. Jaehyun followed on November 4, 2024, entering the Army Band with an expected discharge date of May 3, 2026.
Doyoung and Jungwoo mark the third and fourth NCT members to begin service. Both are expected to complete their duties and be discharged on June 7, 2027.
About the Members
NCT 127 debuted in July 2016 with "Fire Truck." The group has released multiple successful albums and recently completed their world tour "The Momentum," performing across 15 cities in eight countries during early 2024.
Jungwoo made his NCT debut in February 2018 with NCT U's "Boss" before joining NCT 127 in October 2018. Doyoung was part of NCT 127's original lineup and recently finished encore shows for his solo Asia tour in early October.
South Korean law requires all able-bodied men to serve approximately 18-21 months of military service before age 28.
